Scottish EDGE is delighted to reveal that the UK’s leading bioscience entrepreneur, Professor Sir Chris Evans will join philanthropist Sir Tom Hunter of The Hunter Foundation in conversation at the EDGE16 Final and Awards.

Professor Sir Chris trained as a microbiologist at Imperial College and has used his scientific and business skills to develop advanced new medicines for many diseases including cancer, respiratory and infectious disease, which have saved millions of people the world over.

Sir Chris will join renowned entrepreneur and long-time EDGE supporter Sir Tom Hunter, virtually, for an in-conversation piece on day 2 at the Live Scottish EDGE Finals on 30th September and again at the Live Awards ceremony on 7th October.

The two-part talk will explore Sir Chris’ extraordinary journey through entrepreneurship, the impact of his work and key learnings for upcoming entrepreneurs. In part two of the talk, Sir Chris will also share his opinion on the current pandemic including his thoughts of what the future will hold in terms of treatment, vaccines, and impact on the economy.
