The Enough Project is launching The Sentry, an initiative seeking to help dismantle the networks of perpetrators, facilitators, and enablers who fund and profit from Africa’s deadliest conflicts. We hope to lend greater support to broader accountability measures as well as provide leverage to peace efforts aimed at ending Africa’s deadliest conflicts.

Watch The Sentry’s launch video and share it on Twitter: www.TheSentry.org

Using open source data collection, field research, and state-of-the-art network analysis technology, The Sentry will produce evidence-based analysis and focus on how these conflicts are financed, sustained, and monetized. Our investigations will aim to engage civil society and media, support regulatory action and prosecutions, and provide policymakers with the information they require to take effective action.

When our investigations begin yielding fruit, you will hear more from my co-founder George Clooney and me. In the meantime, please visit The Sentry website to learn more and read our first four country briefs on Sudan, South Sudan, the Central African Republic, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This is also an invitation to collaborate. If you have tips or information to share in support of The Sentry’s investigations, you can anonymously submit them here or by going to TheSentry.org’s “Contact” page and following instructions.
