Trustees & Governance
The Hunter Foundation’s investment policies and strategy are set by an Executive Board of Trustees who meet bi-annually to review strategy, existing programmes and new financial commitments.
Trustees:
Sir Tom Hunter, chairman
Lady Marion Hunter
Vartan Gregorian
Jim McMahon
Robert Glennie
In addition, for every major investment made The Hunter Foundation establishes an Operational Board to monitor, evaluate and develop - in an active manner - the programme under implementation.
Moreover all major programmes have pre-determined Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) established at the outset, thereafter independent evaluation and monitoring is engaged to ensure these KPI’s are accomplished. In the event of a failure to meet pre-agreed KPI’s an active programme of additional intervention is agreed with the Operational Board over an agreed time plan in order to hit target milestones.
Importantly THF’s funding is conditional upon KPI’s being achieved; hence funds are allocated not in lump sums but often quarterly against target achievement. THF will withdraw funding should KPI's continue to be unmet.
